Haunted Forest

This annual Haunted Forest event includes a trick-or-treat maze, hayrides, puppet shows, and the haunted forest trail. Over 100 volunteers help with this event. Find out how your group can volunteer at this event.

"Who Done It?" Hike

Play Sherlock Holmes by collecting clues and solving the mystery while walking the trails at Ritter Farm Park. When the end is near and you think you have it solved, you’ll have a chance to guess “who done it.”

Santa's Secret Store

Santa's Secret Store is designed for children to purchase gifts for family and friends. Parents wait in the Holiday Shop where they can purchase homemade holiday treats. Volunteers assist children with their purchases and gift wrapping. Find out how you can volunteer at this event.

Holiday Bake Shoppe

Purchase homemade holiday treats, sweet breads, cookies, candies and more, made by Lakeville Area Active Adults. Support your Lakeville Seniors!

Letter from Santa and Phone Calls from the North Pole

With your help, a personal letter from Santa Claus can be arranged for your child. You can also have Mrs. Claus, Santa or the Elves to call your house. Register online.

Youth Ice Fishing Contest

Fish through one of the many holes cut through the ice at this annual event. This free family event is one your child will never forget. Participants should bring their own fishing equipment and bait. Prizes will be awarded.

Ritter Fest

Enjoy dog sled and snowmobile rides and try snowshoeing at Ritter Farm Park. Pre-registration is required for dog sledding.

Spring Events

Easter Egg Scramble & Breakfast 

We’ll enjoy Easter activities and then an egg-stra special egg hunt through downtown Lakeville businesses! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration for adults and children is required. 

Free Family Fun Fest

Bring your family and friends to enjoy a night of fun and free activities. The fun fest will offer a wide variety of events including open ice skating (rental skates available), soccer & lacrosse events, 60-foot inflatable obstacle course, & more.

Summer Events

KayBiRu Kids Triathlon

The triathlon includes a 1/2-mile kayak leg starting from the beach at Antlers Park on Lake Marion, 2-mile bike ride loop, and 1-mile run.

Pan-O-Prog Beach Bash

Antlers Park hosts the annual Beach Bash for ages 11 to 14. Live DJ, dance, games, and freebies.

Pan-O-Prog Youth Play Day

This event includes live entertainment and a ping pong ball drop.

Pan-O-Prog Run - 1-Mile & 4-Mile

The running course will take you along the beautiful west side of Lake Marion. Race lengths include a 1-mile and a 4-mile run, and a half-mile Fun Run for kids.

5K Trail Run

South of the River Recreators hosts this off-road trail run at Ritter Farm Park.

Family Campout Adventure

Take part in s'mores, games, and activities in a fun family campout setting at Casperson Park.

Youth Shore Fishing Contest

Youth are invited to fish on Lake Marion at Casperson Park in search of "the big one." Prizes are awarded for various fish categories.

Story Walks in the Park

Invite family and friends to take a walk in the great outdoors and read from giant picture book pages at various parks.

Puppet Wagon

Kermie the Frog, Chuck the Bunny, Myron and the whole puppet crew are waiting to entertain Lakeville children this summer.
