The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Ave. If a holiday occurs on the meeting date, the Council meets on the following evening. Council meetings are televised on Government Channel 180 and are also available for online viewing.

Have you always wanted to try Tai Chi but never had the chance? Tai Chi practiced regularly can reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve balance and posture. The concepts of harmonized breathing and gentle, controlled movements will be practiced using the Sun Style 41 movements. This session provides an introduction to the basic principles of tai chi for individuals wanting to learn more about this ancient, Chinese exercise form. Tai chi walking will allow participants to practice the concept of weight shifts, essential to all tai chi forms. Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

New on the national jazz scene is singer/pianist Andrew Walesch. In 2015 he performed to two sold out audiences for the premiere of his Sinatra show. Together with his Big Band, they will fill the LAAC theater with music from The Great American Songbook, including songs by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, and many others.

Arrive in La Crosse, Wisconsin and board the La Crosse Queen, a modern-day replica of the grand riverboats that plied the Mississippi River in the late 19th century. It has a climate-controlled main cabin surrounded by windows, along with a covered upper deck. Enjoy a buffet lunch in the main cabin. Take in the scenic treasures along the river, including one of the oldest swing bridges in operation today, the wildlife, the lock and dam system, and other scenic and historic sites along the Upper Mississippi River.
