The 4:30 band, Coverfire, has been cancelled. All other events are currently scheduled to go on as planned.
Fireworks will go on as planned unless there is high wind, in which case the show will be rescheduled to Thursday, July 5.
Other components of the 4th of July celebration (bands, concessions, inflatables, etc.) will only be cancelled if there will be threatening weather.

The running course will take you along the beautiful west side of Lake Marion. Race includes a 1-mile and a 4-mile run, and a 1/2-mile Fun Run for kids. Categories are divided by age, gender and race length: 9 and under, 10-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Results will be available after the races. Prizes and race medals will be awarded at the conclusion of the runs.

Dakota County and the City of Lakeville have been assessing the intersection of Dodd Boulevard & Icenic Trail/Heritage Drive to ensure the intersection is operating as safely and efficiently as possible. A trending safety issue has been identified and potential solutions to address the safety issue have been developed.
The County and City are hosting an open house where you will be able to learn about the Dodd Boulevard & Icenic Trail/Heritage Drive intersection safety issues and potential solutions, discuss with County and City staff and provide feedback.
There will be a 15 minute presentation at 3:30 p.m. If you are unable to attend the meeting, find more information on Dakota County's website or contact Sarah Tracy.

Youth are invited to fish away the morning on Lake Marion in search of “the big one.” Prizes will be awarded for various fish categories. Ages 13 and under are eligible for prizes. Participants need to bring their own fishing equipment and bait. Register the day of the contest.
