  1. TED Talk & Discussion: How Our Friendship Survives Opposing Politics

    TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. The session starts by viewing a video in which two best friends who think very differently about politics have learned some simple tactics to overcome their differences and maintain their friendship. Following the video there will be a short discussion led by senior member Jim Allmann. No preparation is needed for this discussion group.

    The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Ave. If a holiday occurs on the meeting date, the Council meets on the following evening. Council meetings are televised on Government Channel 180 and are also available for online viewing.

    Free demonstration classes are for parents or caregivers who are seriously considering registering for Music Together classes but would like to try a class with their child or children first. Registration is required. Families will only be allowed to try one demo class.
