    TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. The session starts by viewing a video in which Doris Kearns Goodwin talks about what we can learn from American presidents Abraham Lincoln and Lyndon Johnson. Following the video there will be a short discussion. No preparation is needed for this discussion group.

    The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Ave. If a holiday occurs on the meeting date, the Council meets on the following evening. Council meetings are televised live on Government Channel 180 and are also available for online viewing after each meeting.
